Italian Embassy in Istanbul Fired upon to Protest Pope's Visit

PanARMENIAN.Net - A Turkish citizen opened fire next to the building of the Italian Embassy. By this Ibrahim Hak, 26, who was later detained by the police, protested Pope Benedict XVI visit to Turkey. No one was hurt during the shooting. The Pope plans to pay a visit to Turkey November 28-December 1.



The relations between Vatican and the Muslim world got exacerbated after incautious statements of the Pontiff regarding prophet Muhammad, due to which protest actions were held in many countries, reports GZT.
