Laika visual effects supervisor Steven Emerson will lead a talk on Laika’s work and will screen both “Coraline” and “ParaNorman.” In addition, visual effects supervisor Dadi Einarsson will host a talk on the effects of “Everest” and Marco Mazzaglia and independent game studio Ovosonico will lead a workshop called “Let’s Play Together,” about massively multiplayer online games such as “World of Warcraft.” The confab brings together professionals for the latest trends in computer graphics, interactive techniques, digital cinema, 2D and 3D animation, gaming and visual effects.
