Azeri resident detained in border crossing attempt

PanARMENIAN.Net - A resident of the village of Ahkend in Tartar region of Azerbaijan, Shahlar Bayram oglu Abdullayev was arrested by Azerbaijani servicemen on the contact line, as he attempted to cross the border to the Armenian side, Moderator.az reports.

Abdullayev was reportedly “tired of the indifference of various instances, to whom he addressed the issue of having been wrongfully imposed a 33,000 manat-worth fine, so he tried to cross the border to the Armenian side. He was arrested halfway by local military and handed over to the district department of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of National Security.”

Azerbaijani civilians have reportedly been declared to have crossed or made attempts to cross the Armenian-Azerbaijani border to surrender to Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh Republic.
