October Drift post-rock band debut “Robots” track

The last year has seen October Drift selling out all over the UK. The band's sound is rooted very heavily in authentic English culture, and so is their attitude.

Between the 90s dissonant swell of the guitarist and the sincerity of a disappointed idealist, October Drift are the genuine article. While so many UK bands are embracing the surf-punk trend, it's refreshing to hear a track like 'Robots' that's so heavily engrained with the culture it was shaped by, according to Gigwise.

The band describe 'Robots' as “about pleasure, routine, nostalgia, addiction and the bittersweet bubble these things create”, the band detail. “It’s the short attention spans and disposable way of living translating through to music that lacks identity."

The quartet have 'Robots' coming out on a special edition 7" vinyl on November 13.
