VivaCell-MTS, Ralph Yirikian honored with Mercury Award

PanARMENIAN.Net - VivaCell-MTS was granted a Mercury Award as the leading telecommunications operator in Armenia. The company's General Manager Ralph Yirikian was also awarded for his efforts in introducing the corporate social responsibility culture to Armenia.

The Mercury Award is granted to companies and individuals that have made an outstanding contribution to the economy and business sector of the country. The initiative belongs to the different countries’ Chambers of Commerce. Armenia has been holding the event since 2006.

VivaCell-MTS has completely changed the business administration culture and business environment in Armenia. In the course of ten years of its operation the Company has drawn the society's attention to issues of sustainable development, ethical business administration, environmental protection, equal employment conditions, proper advertising among other things. A number of social-economic problems have been solved thanks to the social investments of the Company.

VivaCell-MTS has the widest 2G, 3.75G and 4G network coverage, providing a wide range of voice and data services across Armenia. The Company has managed to build a nationwide network and a considerable customer base in a short period of time.
