"In response to a request by the Armenian Embassy to Cairo, the Egyptian authorities confirmed the absence of Armenian citizens among Daesh militants,” Tigran Balayan wrote. RIA Novosti reported earlier that the Egyptian armed forces had arrested 6 Islamic State militants in Cairo, who had arrived in the country from Libya to orchestrate terrorist attacks on tourist sites. According to the report, a former Tajik army colonel, citizens of Armenia, Belarus, Serbia, Syria, Iran and Egypt were allegedly among those arrested.
