PanARMENIAN.Net - The Sony Xperia Z5's camera is so impressive that Samsung wants it for its next flagship phone, latest reports have suggested, Digital Spy reports.

With the Samsung Galaxy S7 tipped to launch early in the New Year, supply chain sources have claimed the Korean manufacturer is looking to make use of Sony's stunning 23-megapixel IMX300, despite developing its own 20-megapixel ISOCELL camera unit.

According to PhoneArena, Sammy would retain its own ISOCELL efforts for some territories, while giving the Galaxy S7 a 23-megapixel boost in key markets. This is a tactic the company has used in the past.

Offering stunning results, even in challenging and low-light shooting conditions, we recently described the Xperia Z5's camera as "the new pinnacle of smartphone photography".

Super snapper aside, the Galaxy S7 has been tipped to run all manner of high-end components, with a curved edged QHD display expected to line up alongside an iris scanner and powerful Snapdragon 820 processor.

Neither Samsung nor Sony has yet commented on the claims.
