PABSEC Wants a Role in Karabakh SettlementNovember 24, 2006 - 15:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation 'can play a significant role in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement', Chairman of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee, member of Turkish Parliament Ali Temur stated in Baku. In his words, Turkey's representatives in the PABSEC keep focus on the Karabakh issue and exert every effort for its resolution. "Although the BSEC is an economic institute it can indirectly influence over the problem resolution. The Black Sea region is becoming an energy center and stability in region is very important," Mr Temur said, reports Echo Baku-based newspaper.![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
