Azerbaijan uses mortars, rocket launchers in ceasefire violationsDecember 7, 2015 - 11:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani armed forces continuously violated the ceasefire on the line of contact with Nagorno Karabakh on December 6-7. According to the NKR Defense Ministry, 240 ceasefire violations by Azerbaijani armed forces were registered in the reporting period, with over 4300 shots fired from various caliber artillery weapons, 60-, 82-mm mortars, RPG-7 and AGS-17 grenade launchers, as well as TR-107 rocket launcher. Karabakh defense forces continue controlling the situation, retaliating in case of necessity. According to Karabakh Defense Army, 180 ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani forces were registered on the night of December 5-6, with over 3500 shots fired from various caliber artillery weapons, as well as 60-, 82- and 120-mm mortars, AGS-17, RPG-7 grenade launchers and Turkish-made TR-107 rocket launchers. As a result of the shelling, Karabakh Defense Army soldier Varazdat Khachatryan, aged 20, received a shrapnel wound on December 5, at around 6:45 pm. Besides, Azerbaijani army Senior Lieutenant Mollayev Abdulla Molla oğlu, aged 27, was killed, while two other servicemen were wounded Saturday, December 5, in Tartar region of the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh.
