Baku acknowledges Azeri soldiers’ death at contact line

PanARMENIAN.Net - An Azerbaijani soldier named Taleh Kerimov was killed in the December 17 combat operations on the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh, Tert.am reports citing APA news agency.

Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has confirmed the information.

Earlier on December 17, the Azeri side reported on the death of another serviceman, Rashad Aliyar oglu Jafarzadeh.

Following unsuccessful attempts to cross the contact line on December 17, special Azeri troops once again initiated subversive attacks in four directions of Karabakh positions on December 18.

Identifying the Azerbaijani groups on time, Karabakh Defense Army units took retaliatory measures, throwing the saboteurs back to their positions.

Karabakh army soldiers Aghasi Grigoryan and Ruben Aleksanyan, both aged 19, were killed as a result.

An investigation into the details of the incident is underway.
