The show posted on its official Facebook, Twitter and Instagram page a new picture of Claire (Caitriona Balfe) strolling through a street in Paris, AceShowbiz said. She looks standout among other people in the image as she dons a purple gown. "Claire is not one to sit still," so read a caption for the image. "She will set out on her own mission during Season 2." On "Outlander" season 2, Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire arrive in Paris and live with Jamie's Scottish cousin Jared Fraser (Robert Cavanagh), a successful wine merchant and a strong Jacobite. They will try to stop the Jacobite rising by ingratiating themselves in the French court so they can thwart the financing for Bonnie Prince Charlie's Jacobite rebellion. The show will introduce other new faces, such as Le Comte St. Germain (Stanley Weber), "a wine merchant and member of the French Court" who is described as "a bit of a villain," and Alex Randall (Laurence Dobiesz), the younger brother of the main antagonist Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies).
