"Off the Wall" Michael Jackson doc to be released in FebJanuary 8, 2016 - 15:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Arguably one of the best Michael Jackson albums will be reissued next month. "Off the Wall", the King of Pop's seminal fifth studio album, will be released alongside a Spike Lee-directed documentary titled "Michael Jackson's Journey from Motown to Off the Wall", AceShowbiz reports. The new version of the classic 1979 album will be released in CD/DVD and CD/Blu Ray editions on February 26 via Sony Legacy Recordings. Among the tracks in the album are "Rock With You" and "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough". The original album, which was recorded when Jackson was in his 20s, was inducted to Grammy Hall of Fame in 2008. The re-issue of "Off the Wall" coincides the 27th anniversary of the original record but a special edition of the album was released by Sony in 2001. Meanwhile, the documentary will first make its television debut on Showtime on February 5 at 9 P.M. ET. A statement about the project reads, "A look at a chapter of his career that is rarely examined, 'Michael Jackson's Journey from Motown to Off the Wall' allows audiences to travel with Michael as he gets his start at Motown, strikes a new path with CBS Records and forges a relationship with legendary producer Quincy Jones." Lee, a self-professed Jackson's fan, had previously directed "Bad 25" documentary to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Jackson's hit "Bad".
