Six people die of H1N1 swine flu virus in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Six people have died of H1N1 swine flu virus in Armenia, a representative of the Ministry of Health said Monday, January 11, ARKA reports.

According to Anahit Haytayan, three people had died in December last year, with three more passing away this year.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health said 662 cases of hospitalization of patients with symptoms of acute respiratory infections, including 219 with pneumonia were registered as of January 9. The Ministry stressed that 85 of them were pregnant women, with 20 of them suffering from pneumonia.

Besides, 83 patients were hospitalized in intensive care units, with 8 more diagnosed with swine flu.
