Azeri troops fire 900 shots in ceasefire violations Jan 16-17January 18, 2016 - 10:54 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - According to the Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army, Azerbaijani armed forces violated the ceasefire on January 16-17, firing over 900 shots from various caliber weapons. Karabakh armed forces continue controlling the situation and protecting the positions. Azerbaijani armed forces violated the ceasefire on the week of January 10-16, firing over 3000 shots from various caliber weapons as well as RPG-7 and AGS-17 grenade launchers. Besides, on January 14, at around 9:30 pm special units of the Azeri army initiated a subversive attack in the eastern direction of the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh. Having timely identified the rival groups, Karabakh Defense Army units took retaliatory measures, throwing the saboteurs back to their positions. At least two Azeri servicemen were killed as a result. According to the Karabakh Defense Army, no losses were registered on the Armenian side.
