"Mad Max: Fury Road" wins big at Critics' Choice Awards January 18, 2016 - 11:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The full winners list of the 2016 Critics' Choice Awards was unveiled following the ceremony on Sunday night, January 17. "Mad Max: Fury Road" which led the nominees with 13 nods came out as the biggest winner in movie field that night as it bagged 9 awards including Best Action Movie, Best Editing, Best Costume Design and Best Visual Effects, according to AceShowbiz. Its helmer George Miller took home the Best Director trophy. Its stars Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron won the Best Actor and Actress in an Action Movie titles, respectively. "Spotlight" and "The Big Short" were the next titles to dominate the winners list with three gongs apiece. The former claimed the Best Picture, Best Acting Ensemble and Best Original Screenplay Awards. The latter, meanwhile, won in Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Comedy categories. Christian Bale who stars in the flick was named the Best Actor in a Comedy. Other movies nabbing multiple honors were "The Revenant" (Best Actor for Leonardo DiCaprio and Best Cinematography) and "Room" (Best Actress for Brie Larson and Best Young Actor/Actress for Jacob Tremblay).
