Director Barry Sonnenfeld‘s latest comedy revolves around a workaholic businessman (Spacey) who suffers a terrible accident that leaves him trapped in the body of the family cat. Jennifer Garner, Malina Weissman, Cheryl Hines, Christopher Walken, and Robbie Amell co-star in what Sonnenfeld has described as a “funny, emotional, commercial comedy.” Daniel Antoniazzi and Ben Shiffrin wrote the script for the EuropaCorp production, which will be shepherded by its U.S. film president Lisa Ellzey. “Nine Lives” will be one of EuropaCorp’s first releases through Red, the distribution pipeline it shares with Relativity. “Nine Lives” will hit theaters on Aug. 5.
