CBS orders small-town family comedy pilot from Stephnie Weir February 9, 2016 - 12:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - CBS has given a pilot order to an untitled multi-camera comedy written/executive produced by writer-actress Stephnie Weir and executive produced by Greg Garcia. CBS TV Studios, where Garcia’s company Amigos de Garcia Productions is based, is the studio. Alix Jaffe co-exec produces, Deadline said. The project (formerly known as Y’all In The Family) is set in Texas and centers on a conservative, small-town family who is forced to reconcile their family values when they discover their children’s lives are less than perfect. Texas-born and raised Weir previously served as a consulting producer on Garcia’s CBS/CBS TV Studios family sitcom The Millers. There is no intention for her to act in the pilot at this point. In front of the camera, the Mad TV alumna co-starred on FX’s The Comedians and is recurring on two freshman comedies, the CW/CBS Studios’ Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and CBS/20th TV’s Life In Pieces. This marks the second multi-camera comedy pilot order for Garcia this season. He also has Sebastian, starring Sebastian Maniscalco, at NBC.
