Armenia doubles fresh fruit and vegetables exportsFebruary 23, 2016 - 18:10 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia exported a total of 10.248 tons of fresh fruit and vegetables as of February 23 against the 5.093 tons in the same period last year, the country’s Ministry of Agriculture reports. According to the Ministry, 3.299 tons of fruit and grape have been exported against the 2.219 tons in the same period last year. Besides, as much as 6.949 tons of vegetables and potato have been traded abroad, up from last year’s 2.874 tons. Fresh Armenian fruit and vegetables have been shipped to Russia, Georgia, Switzerland and Iraq.
