  Ruling Republican, ARF parties sign agreement on political cooperation February 25, 2016 - 15:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - President Serzh Sargsyan on Wednesday, February 24 invited the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, or Dashnaktsutyun, to join his government in a power-sharing deal. Dashnaktsutyun took three ministerial posts and appointed two regional governors, according to the memorandum signed with Sargsyan's ruling Republican Party. "The agreement marks the beginning of a long-term political cooperation based on common values and joint goals and action plans," the Republican Party Deputy Chairman Armen Ashotyan told reporters. In a decree signed by Sargsyan, Dashnaktsutyun's Avik Minasyan was appointed Economy Minister. Davit Lokyan and Levon Mkrtchyan were named Ministers of education and of Local Administration, respectively. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
