Number of Syrian refugees estimated at 4.6 mln worldwide: Russia

PanARMENIAN.Net - The overall number of displaced Syrian refugees in the world is estimated at 4.6 million, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Friday, February 26.

“The number of internally displaced individuals is considerably higher and stands at more than 7.6 million people, i.e. those who were forced to leave their home in Syria and move to safer zones,” the Ministry said in a commentary in regard to the humanitarian situation in Syria.
