Foo Fighters readying “official band announcement”

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Foo Fighters fan camp is currently running wild with speculation after they told them that an 'official band announcement' is coming tonight (Wednesday 2 March), Gigwise reports.

Taking to Twitter and Facebook overnight, the band posted:

Official band announcement tomorrow night. Stay tuned. Posted by Foo Fighters on Tuesday, 1 March 2016

Fans are now trying to second guess what it might be. Back in November, the band surprised the world when they dropped the Saint Cecilia EP for free in memory of those who lost their lives in the Paris terror attacks, when the band were forced to cut their set short.

It could of course, be a tour too - however, the Eavises have denied that the band will be headlining Glastonbury this summer as once rumoured.

There were also rumours of the band splitting, amidst reports of a Dave Grohl solo album being in the pipeline - however a Foos spokesman told Entertainment Weekly that these claims were 'utterly ridiculous'.

This week also saw Dave Grohl take to the stage at the Oscars to perform a tribute to David Bowie, Alan Rickman and the screen stars we've lost recently with a beautiful cover of The Beatles' 'Blackbird' - after it emerged that Bowie once turned down the chance to collaborate.
