"Ghostbusters" comedy new trailer tackles race, gender issues (video)

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Ghostbusters" offers a lot of new footage in a new trailer. It seems to take on the race and gender issues amid controversies that arose regarding the all-female cast and Leslie Jones's "street-smart" role which some fans called a racist stereotype, AceShowbiz said.

"I don't know if it was a race thing or a lady thing, but I'm mad as hell," Jones' Patty Tolan says following a crowdsurfing gone wrong as she tracks ghosts at a concert with Melissa McCarthy' Abby, Kristen Wiig's Erin and Kate McKinnon's Jillian.

The trailer also gives more sneak peek at Chris Hemsworth. The Aussie hunk is seen applying for the ladies' receptionist and pitching logos for their business. "Is it the boobs you don't like?" he asks when the ladies seem less enthusiastic. "Because I can make them bigger."

Directed by Paul Feig, the new and improved Ghostbusters is slated to hit theaters across the country on July 15. "Haters, attack me all you want but when you attack and insult my cast, you've crossed the line," the director recently responded to the criticisms.
