  Germany calls upon Turkey to immediately cancel 301st articleFebruary 6, 2007 - 15:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - "We hold discussions over 301st article of Turkish Penal Code. Even the Turkish government thinks that it is necessary to change the article," stated German Ambassador to Turkey Eckart Cuntz. In his words, he is against the 301st article and calls upon the Turkish government to immediately cancel the article, which is an obstacle for freedom of speech. "Thousands of people attending Hrant Dink's funeral showed that they are against any display of nationalism, they are for the freedom of speech," stated Cuntz. He also assured that Hrant Dink's assassination gives a chance to improve relations between Armenia and Turkey. And in Cuntz 's opinion, such an opportunity must not be missed, 'Yerkir' newspaper reports.
