Armenian soldier killed in Damascus fighting

PanARMENIAN.Net - A Syrian soldier of Armenian decent Raffi Gazezian has been killed in the suburbs of Damascus, Kantsasar newspapers said in a Facebook post.

The Syrian government and opposition groups accepted the U.S. - and Russia-implemented ceasefire agreement that called for a “cessation of hostilities” in Syria from February 27.

The ceasefire plan does not include Isis or al-Qaeda’s Syria branch, Jabhat al-Nusra, and leaves open the option for other groups to be excluded if they are deemed terrorist organizations by the UN Security Council.
