The focus of this meeting will be the Armenian Genocide bill introduced in the Congress. It is anticipated that Buyukanit will stress to Lantos that the possible acceptance by the U.S. Congress of this bill could have a serious impact on relations between Turkey and the U.S., including logistical support which has been extended thus far by Turkey to U.S. forces fighting in Iraq, Hurriyet reports.Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
