2 Karabakh soldiers wounded as Azerbaijan breaks ceasefire

PanARMENIAN.Net - The operative situation was unchanged on the line of contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan on the night of April 17-18.

50 ceasefire violations by the rival were registered, as Azerbaijan shot from 82-mm mortars and various caliber firearms along the line of contact, Karabakh Defense Army says.

As a result of Azeri violations, two Karabakh servicemen, Erik Matevosyan and Azat Barsamyan were wounded.

In addition to ceasefire breaches, a 20-member Azerbaijani squad initiated a subversive attack in the eastern (Akna) direction of the contact line.

Having timely identified the rival troops, Karabakh forces thwarted the attack and threw the saboteurs back to their positions.

Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army’s frontline units continue controlling the situation along the entire line of contact and protecting their positions.
