The Wall Street Journal publishes Genocide-denying posterApril 21, 2016 - 14:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A full-page ad, published on The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday, April 20 featured the words "Truth=Peace" and three hands in national Turkish, Armenian and Russian colors. The Turkish hand held up a peace sign whereas the other two had their fingers crossed, Sputnik News reports. The ad contained a reference to a website of Fact Check Armenia, a group that describes the Genocide of some 1.5 million ethnic Armenians by Ottoman Turks as Armenian "propaganda." The website also argues that those massacred were collectively guilty of being "treacherous to the land." The Armenian Genocide The Armenian Genocide (1915-23) was the deliberate and systematic destruction of the Armenian population of the Ottoman Empire during and just after World War I. It was characterized by massacres and deportations, involving forced marches under conditions designed to lead to the death of the deportees, with the total number of deaths reaching 1.5 million.
