During the discussions of the book Professor Akcam talked about the 1915 Armenian Genocide that claimed the lives of over one million Armenians. He told how the Ottoman Turks responded to the charge that they were committing genocide and how the current Turkish government describes what happened. Independent French corespondent Jean Eckiyan told the PanARMENIAN.Net journalist that the talk was hosted by the Armenian Cultural Organization of Minnesota.
