MP: President warns against anti-Russian hysteria![]() April 28, 2016 - 16:59 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - President Serzh Sargsyan on Wednesday, April 27 said nothing about a large-scale war, but he did say that [Karabakh forces] have regained control over some military positions, Armenia’s ruling Republican Party (RPA) MP Vazgen Karakhanyan said. A spokesperson for the Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army, however, refuted the return of positions on Wednesday. Karakahnyan said he knows nothing about Karabakh's refutation. According to the MP, the President, while addressing an RPA meeting, said “we have to do better to avoid surprise attacks and be able to adequately retaliate.” Asked about Sargsyan’s possible intentions to reconsider relations with Moscow, Karakahnyan said: “The President insisted we mustn’t let the situation turn into an anti-Russian hysteria.” ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
