Helmer shares 'Star Wars Episode 8' Set pics, says filming “halfway” done

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Star Wars Episode VIII" won't arrive in U.S. theaters until December 2017, but here are some sneak-peeks to keep fans entertained. Director Rian Johnson took to his Tumblr page Thursday, April 28 to post a couple of behind-the-scenes photos and reveal that filming's already "halfway" complete.

One of the black-and-white images offers a glimpse of an X-Wing ship. The other, meanwhile, appears to show the interior of a First Order vessel or base. Both pictures came with a caption that read, " 'Good. Bad. I'm the guy with the microfiber sham.' I can't believe we're halfway through the shoot. (We're halfway through the shoot!)."

"Star Wars Episode VIII" started its production in February and is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on December 14, 2017. Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac will be back to reprise their respective roles from last year's "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". Meanwhile, Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern and newcomer Kelly Marie Tran will be among new cast members.
