EU always paid attention to South Caucasian regionFebruary 21, 2007 - 18:04 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Germany's presidency in the EU will work for improvement of the Armenian-German relations, RA Ambassador to Germany Karine Ghazinyan told a news conference in Yerevan. In her words, the EU has always paid a special attention to the South Caucasus. "Now this tendency has deepened because Germany attaches importance to relations with minor states," Ghazinyan said. "In this view, visit of German Foreign Frank-Walter Steinmeier is important. Germany would like to see the South Caucasus as a unified geopolitical unit and eyes the future of the region in peaceful cooperation of the states, said the RA Ambassador to Germany. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
