ABC unveils 1st teaser for Kiefer Sutherland’s “Designated Survivor” (video) May 7, 2016 - 16:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - ABC has unveiled the first teaser for “Designated Survivor”, starring Kiefer Sutherland as Tom Kirkman, the new President of the United States, TheWrap said. In the clip, Sutherland, a lower cabinet member, gets sworn in to office after an attack on Washington wipes out everyone above him in the line of succession. He will struggle to prevent the country and his own family from falling into chaos, as he is thrust into one of the most difficult presidencies in history. “Designated Survivor,” which premieres this fall, was ordered straight to series by the network in December. Natascha McElhone, Maggie Q, Kal Penn, Adan Canto, Italia Ricci, LaMonica Garrett and Tanner Buchanan also star. The Mark Gordon Company and ABC Studios produce the series, created and executive produced by David Guggenheim. Simon Kinberg, who developed the project with Guggenheim, also serves as executive producer alongside Sutherland, Mark Gordon, Nick Pepper, Suzan Bymel and Aditya Sood.
