Relative calm on Karabakh contact line preserved overnight

PanARMENIAN.Net - The relatively calm situation, registered on the previous night on the contact line between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan was preserved overnight on May 19-20.

As the Nagorno Karabakh Defense Ministry press office says, Azerbaijan used various caliber firearms to violate the ceasefire, also employing sniper rifles in some directions of the frontline.

Karabakh troops stayed committed to the agreement to continue controlling the situation on the contact line.

Azerbaijani armed forces attempted to set fire to the grass in the neutral zone on the Nagorno Karabakh contact line on Thursday, May 19.

As the Karabakh Defense Army reports, the Azerbaijani side sought to burn the cultivated areas on the Armenian territory. The incident occurred in the eastern (Akna) direction of the contact line.
