EEU heads of state to discuss trade with foreign countries![]() May 30, 2016 - 15:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - At a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, to be held in Astana on May 31, the Presidents of member states will discuss the Eurasian Economic Union’s (EEU) trade with foreign countries, Kazakhstan’s presidential press service said, according to RIA. President of Armenia leader Serzh Sargsyan, Kazakh leader Nursultan Nazarbayev, head of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, as well as those of Kyrgyzstan and Russia - Almazbek Atambayev and Vladimir Putin, respectively - are set to attend the meeting. The Eurasian Economic Union is an economic union of states located primarily in northern Eurasia. A treaty aiming for the establishment of the Union was signed on May 29, 2014 by the leaders of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, and came into force on January 1, next year. Treaties aiming for Armenia and Kyrgyzstan's accession to the EEU were signed on October 9 and December 23, 2014 respectively. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
