Armenia whiskey production triples, that of brandy grows by 50%June 3, 2016 - 14:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The volume of Armenia’s beverage production amounted to AMD 28.64 billion in January-April 2016, up by 21% against the same period last year. In particular, 555.000 liters of whiskey were produced in the first four months this year, which is three times as much as the figure registered a year earlier (187.200 liters). Wine production grew by 13.4% to around 2.06 million liters, while that of brandy increased by 49.3% to over 5 million liters in the reporting period. The production of vodka-liqueurs and beer, on the contrary, dropped by 9.4% and 8.6%, respectively. In Q1 of 2016, 17.1 million liters of soft drinks were produced, down by 10.6%.
