Czech President to start Armenia visit from Genocide memorial

PanARMENIAN.Net - Czech President Miloš Zeman will arrive in Armenia on Tuesday, June 7, set to first visit Tsitsernakaberd Genocide memorial.

The President will lay a wreath at the memorial to pay tribute to 1.5 million victims of the Genocide; he's also scheduled to visit the Museum-Institute and plant a tree on the territory of the memorial.

During his visit, Zeman will meet with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan; the Czech leader will leave Armenia on June 9.

The German Bundestag on Thursday, June 2 adopted a resolution on the recognition and the condemnation of the Armenian Genocide.
