Council of Europe not involved in Karabakh settlement: Jagland

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Council of Europe is not involved in the process of settling the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland said.

In response to a question by a member of Azerbaijan’s PACE delegation, Jagland said that the OSCE Minsk Group has been entrusted to resolve the conflict.

“They don’t want anyone else to interfere in the settlement process,” the Secretary General said.

“We have to respect their decision. If we are asked to contribute to the Minsk process, we’ll certainly be willing to help. If they don’t want our participation, however, we don’t want to create additional problems.”
