American Honey will hit theaters in Los Angeles and New York on Sept. 30, after which it will expand to more screens. Tim Burton's Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and Mark Wahlberg's disaster film Deepwater Horizon are set for wide releases on this date. The Cannes selection stars newcomer Sasha Lane, Shia LaBeouf and Riley Keough in a road movie that centers on a troubled teenager (Lane) who runs away from home with a traveling sales crew. The Naomie Harris-starrer Moonlight will have a limited N.Y./L.A. release on Oct. 21, with an expansion to follow. The film follows a young boy coming of age in War on Drugs-era Miami.
