The renowned actor and martial artist will voice the animated character Mr. Feng, a territorial leader of the city’s mice gang. Although he looks like a cute fuzzy character, Feng is a fierce kung-fu artist who will protect his turf at all costs. “We’re happy to announce the addition of Jackie Chan to the cast of “The Nut Job 2,” director Cal Brunker said. “Jackie brings a unique voice to our movie, and it’s a real joy to be working with such a talented, award-winning actor and cultural icon.” “The Nut Job 2” is the sequel to 2014’s “The Nut Job” which grossed more than $120 million worldwide. The sequel will be focused on Surly Squirrel, who bands together with his animal friends to save their home that is in danger of being torn down by the city’s evil mayor. The “Rush Hour” actor will join a cast that already includes Katherine Heigl, Maya Rudolph, Will Arnett and Gabriel Iglesias. Chan is best known for starring in action comedy films like “Shanghai Noon” and “The Karate Kid” reboot, and he has also voiced characters in “Kung Fu Panda” and in the Cantonese and Mandarin versions of “Mulan.” “The Nut Job 2” is directed by Cal Brunker and will be released in theaters on May 19, 2017.
