Armenia to manufacture, export breathalyzers to Russia, EUJuly 14, 2016 - 15:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia will start producing breathalyzers – devices for estimating blood alcohol content from a breath sample – Economy Minister Artsvik Minasyan said Thursday, July 14. The Cabinet ministers decided at a session to authorize the company Arides to start producing the devises in Alliance free economic zone. “The company is planning to invest $4.3 million and create ten jobs,” Minasyan said. According to him, the company intends to export products worth $3 million in the first year and $10 million in the fifth year. The company intends to initially produce and export 15,000 devises and to increase its output and export to 40,000 in the future. Arides is going to export its products to Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and EU countries. There are two free economic zones in Armenia now - Alliance (high and information technologies) and Meridian (jewelry industry).
