MP Nikol Pashinayn who just left the police premises told reporters that the group demands resignation of [President] Serzh Sargsyan and transfer of power to the people. There were initially 8 hostages but one of them was hospitalized following a fluctuation of blood pressure. The incident took place early in the morning when the members of the group hit the gates of the department with a Ural truck. According to Pashinyan, one of the members has received a gunshot or shrapnel injury in the head. Pashinyan said deputy chief of police Vardan Yeghiazaryan is among the captives.
