“Man of Steel 2” reportedly back in the works at Warner Bros.August 9, 2016 - 12:04 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The long-delayed sequel to "Man of Steel" is reportedly going into active development at Warner Bros. As AceShowbiz reports citing TheWrap, the studio is putting the wheels back in motion after almost a year placing Henry Cavill's "Man of Steel 2" on hold. Further detail is still unclear, but sources close to the project say, "Superman is a top priority for the studio and getting the character right for audiences is of tantamount importance." The studio, however, has yet to respond to the news. Rumor has it, the sequel will focus on the battle between the Supes, Supergirl and Brainiac. The alien droid presumably craves the genetic codex of the entire Kryptonian race and wants to seize it from anyone who has it. The codex is the one General Zod was after in "Man of Steel". However, it has yet to be confirmed. With "Man of Steel 2" having a long way from getting a release date, DC has two films slated to be released next year in the United States including "Wonder Woman" on June 2 and "Justice League" on November 17. Meanwhile, "Aquaman" and "The Flash" are set to be released on July 27, 2018 and March 16, 2018 respectively. As for Cavill, he will reprise his role as Clark Kent a.k.a. Superman in "Justice League" along with Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Amy Adams and Amber Heard. The 33-year-old actor can next be seen in war film "Sand Castle" alongside Nicholas Hoult, Toby Kebbell, Tommy Flanagan and Logan Marshall-Green.
