In this context, complaints were filed with Armenia’s Ombudsman and deputy chief of Armenia’s Special Investigation Service. “After Khandoyan was detained, they never gave him back his glasses. We believe this to be a violation of European Convention on Human Rights, a degrading treatment. The glasses have no evidential meaning in the case and there’s no reason not to return them to Khandoyan. This is simply ridiculous,” Panorama.am cited the lawyer as saying. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
