Putin won’t travel to Turkey for a football friendly

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian President Vladimir Putin isn’t visiting Turkey for a footballfriendlymatch between the national teams of the two countries, Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters Monday, August 29.

“We’ll be cheering for the team remotely,” Paskov said in response to a question on whether the President is going to attend the game.

Russian and Turkish teams will face off on Wednesday in a friendly match in Antalya.

It was earlier reported that Putin will travel to Antalya to watch the game with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayip Erdogan.
