Armenia’s Karen Avagyan snatches gold at Weightlifting Championships

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Karen Avagyan won gold at the European Youth Weightlifting Championships in Poland.

Avagyan lifted a total of 330kg above his head in 85kg category of U17 competitions, and was followed by Polish and Russian lifters in the second and third spots.

Another Armenian athlete, also in the 85kg weight class, came in fourth with a total of 285 kg.
