Visits between Armenia and Iran soar after visa abolition

PanARMENIAN.Net - A significant rise in the number of visits between Armenia and Iran has been registered following the two countries’ abolition of visas, officials said at a New York meeting held on the sidelines of the session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Monday, September 19 met with Iran’s Interior Minister Abdolreza Fazli to discuss bilateral ties.

Also, the two weighed in on the possibilities of further expanding cooperation between the two states, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
