The first footage of the sci-fi romance features Jennifer Lawrence's Aurora Dunn cozying up to Chris Pratt's Jim Preston in a spaceship. There is no conversation in the 9-second video, but Aurora can be seen crawling seductively towards Jim on all fours just so she can give him a kiss while he enjoys his lunch. There is also a glimpse of the pair staring at the exploding sun as their journey continues. "Passengers" revolves around a spacecraft transporting thousands of people to a distant colony planet that has a malfunction in one of its sleep chambers. As a result, a single passenger is awakened 90 years before anyone else. Faced with the prospect of growing old and dying alone, he eventually decides to wake up a second passenger, marking the beginning of what becomes a unique love story. Directed by Morten Tyldums from a screenplay provided by Jon Spaiths, the sci-fi romance is set to hit U.S. theaters on December 21 this year. Stephen Hamel serves as producer along with Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur and Michael Maher. Michael Sheen, Laurence Fishburne, Aurora Perrineau and Kimberly Battista are among the cast members.
