Green Day premiere new songs as their world tour begins (video) September 27, 2016 - 17:30 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Green Day previewed two new songs live as they began the world tour for their new album 'Revolution Radio' in Ohio last night (September 26), NME reports. The trio began their show with two of the songs they've already previewed from the album, the title track and first single 'Bang Bang', as they played the intimate 1,700-capacity Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio. Having previewed the two new songs, the rest of the 25-song set saw Green Day play more familiar songs including 'Longview', 'Basket Case', 'When I Come Around' and 'American Idiot' before the gig ended with acoustic versions of 'Ordinary World' and 'Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)' as the second encore. The concert also featured covers of The Beatles' 'Revolution' and The Rolling Stones' '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction' in a medley halfway through the set. The club tour to preview 'Revolution Radio' was actually due to have begun last week in St Louis (September 20), but the first three gigs had to be cancelled due to an infection among the band. After releasing the new album on October 7, the tour for 'Revolution Radio' reaches the UK for a short arena run early next year. They will play Leeds First Direct Arena (February 5), Manchester Arena (6) and London O2 Arena (8).
