New PM vows to present realistic draft budget for 2017September 28, 2016 - 18:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan said Wednesday, September 28 that the government will present a realistic draft budget for 2017 without exaggerating the challenges or overestimating Armenia’s capabilities, the government’s press service said. Meeting the delegation of IMF Mission Chief for Armenia Hossein Samiei, Karapetyan stressed the importance of increasing the level of predictability and control for ensuring the efficiency of government activities. Also, the sides discussed bilateral ties, issues concerning the current state of the Armenian economy, changes envisaged in the tax code, business reforms, the attraction of investments, as well as those relating to the country’s fiscal and monetary policy.
