RA President congratulated on fair and free election

PanARMENIAN.Net - The elections to the Armenian National Assembly were free, fair and transparent. This fact was confirmed by the CEC, law enforcement as well as local and international observers, says a statement by Armenian President Robert Kocharian. The reviewed Electoral Code provided a good possibility to exactly determine the regulations on election, according to him.

"On the whole all participants of the elections - members of committees, candidates and empowered persons - behaved in accord with the law. The irregularities will be thoroughly examined and all measures essential for restoration of law. The election campaign has its rules and peculiarities and sometimes political views collide. However, a true democratic society is able to return to normal life and restore the atmosphere of respect and tolerance. Political discrepancies can emerge even between close friends, relatives and neighbors but I am convinced that it should not tell on human relations. I congratulate all of you and thank the election participants, who secured the normal course and legitimacy of the elections," Mr Kocharian's statement says, the leader's press office reports.
